Elementary school is a tough time in the lives of many children. Most kids report a lot of boredom at school. They hate homework and would rather be playing outside. Although recess is fun, most of their time is spent doing some things that they find boring. Perhaps this is a good idea given that some kids will end up doing a job they don’t like! However, shouldn’t elementary school be a time when kids have some fun? Obviously you need to teach them some critical skills, but it is also important for them to enjoy themselves. One way to do so is to encourage their creative side. If kids are given an opportunity to express themselves and control a creative product you will find that they enjoy school much more. Regular creative projects will dramatically change the way elementary school kids think about learning. Because most kids love animals it is a good idea to integrate this love with their creativity. Although most kids don’t know how to draw animals they can learn to color them. Described below are some of my favorite animal coloring crafts for elementary school.
Search for membership plans in paid site. Some membership plans offer you unlimited printing of Biblical color pages and others such pages in a year or two. You can print same picture as many times as you wish after saving it in your computer. The plans may allow you get unlimited downloads of coloring pages for your kid. Kids actually enjoy learning from an early age, only you should know how to teach them. Make their teachings and learning of moral values interesting and enthralling with such biblical coloring pages.
Imaginations Run Wild: While decorating these pages, kids will often times experiment with various colors. How many times have you seen a smurf colored princess? With dinosaurs, kids will let their imaginations run wild, as they may be talking to the dinosaurs, or about the dinosaurs, or telling stories while they color in the page. Building an imagination is one of those important life skills in a well rounded individual that should be encouraged at a young age.
Puzzles – As children get older their coloring projects can gradually become more advanced. A popular way to increase the child’s attention span and difficulty level of the color project is to introduce some puzzles that can be colored after completion. These puzzles are things like connect the dots or printable jigsaw puzzles that need to be colored then cut out.
Nursery Rhymes and Story Books – Many young children enjoy having a story or nursery rhyme read to them. A popular coloring activity is to have the children complete a coloring sheet associated with the nursery rhyme or story. Parents should try finding a coloring sheet online for their child’s favorite nursery rhyme to get even the youngest child coloring.
